Integrated Bolt Thrower

An Integrated Bolt Thrower was a projectile launching device designed by the Machine Lord, Commodore Starkiller. Essentially the war droid's right forearm was designed to house a number of barbed quarrels that could be racked on the launcher mechanism mounted on the top of the mechanical limb. In a similar manner as that of a Wookiee Bowcaster, the bolt thrower would magnetically accelerate an energized quarrel. These fired projectiles were capable of inflicting both energy and kinetic damage. The cocking spring was automatic, although the war droid was capable of manually setting the device if necessary. Occasionally the Machine Lord would fire unenhanced quarrels with neurotoxin coated impervium tips, for rare use when the target was intended to be taken alive.
