Designed by Chyornov Combat Systems, Flex-reactive recon/scout armor was a clothlike armor that protected its wearer without any real loss of mobility, hardening and projecting a low-level force field at any point of impact. While it did not provide the same degree of protection enabled by some other armors, the mobile nature of it more than compensated. The armor was best used as a hidden protection against assassination for key figures, and for reconnaissance troopers. There were two varieties.

Mark I Edit

Features:

  • Optical camouflage takes in the surrounding area and projects it onto the surface of the armor, effectively hiding the person inside.
  • Moves easily, with little resistance. Thus it causes no major loss of speed or agility.
  • Hardening at the point of impact makes it ideal for hand-to-hand combat as it give blows more power.
  • Does not project a powerful energy signature; while there would be some sign of it on sensors, it does not show from a distance as much more than a standard unarmored biosignature.

Mark II Edit

  • The Mark II version included an advanced sensor suite and provided a greater protection factor. It also allowed the wearer to adjust the sensitivity of the kinetic sensors in order to control how hard an impact would trigger the material.

Due to the miniaturized electronics needed to make the armor, it was fairly expensive, costing between six and a half and seven thousand credits per unit.
