RP with An Tiarna Dubh and not feel intimidated

That was seven years ago.... The present state of JvS is quite disparaging. Evolution is not always for the better. An Tiarna Dubh? Opinions are many. But whether one belives him heroic-villian or just a louse really dosen't matter; that he left an imprint on JvS is indisputable.

Early life The time & place of An Tiarna Dubh’s birth remains a mystery. He was brutally cut from his mother by the Druid, An Millteoir of the ignoble Cairbre, compelled by a prophetic vision from The Mórrígan of the child’s great destiny. The woman was left for dead. An Millteoir worked the boy like a slave & subjected him to a wide variety of torture techniques both to elevate the ability to withstand & administer pain. In an instant all would change as in a fit of rage An Millteoir stood over the boy set to deliver a death blow. From the Shadows burst Mallaitheoir ripping the heart cleanly from An Millteoir & sweeping the child up in a mighty arm. Leaving him under the tutelage of Scáthach woman warrior of the Dál Riada the giant disappeared. Observing the boy’s agility, raw strength & natural propensity to hurl intensely scathing insults, Scáthach emphasized training on a blend of Rince an Chlaímh – Sword Dance (Form IV: Ataru) & Le Lámh Laidir – By the Strong Arm (Form VII Jayo) & Bearadh Teanga – Cutting (Dun möch). An Tiarna also received extensive hand to hand combat training. Scáthach focused on Force Powers that complimented his manner of fighting. The ultimate product was a fearsome warrior, often capable of ending conflict without drawing a weapon.

An Tiarna possesses a bizarre, unexplainable attribute of a most terrifying nature: the “Warp-spasm”. When enraged his body alters into a monstrous thing, hideous & shapeless, unheard of. Shanks & joints, every knuckle & angle & organ from head to foot, shake like a tree in the flood. His body makes a furious twist inside his skin, so that feet and shins switch to the rear and heels and calves switch to the front. On head the temple-sinews stretch to the nape of his neck, mighty, immense, measureless knobs. He sucks one eye into the depths of his skull so it becomes the size of the head of a needle; the other eye protrudes resting on his cheek yet firm. One picks up the finest detail; the other the wide. His mouth weirdly distorts: cheeks peel back from his jaws & his smile draws from ear to ear & fiery flakes large as a ram's fleece reach his mouth from his throat. His spiked hair hardens with rage – sharp as a razor; hard as phrik. A glow, know as gile na gile emanates from him, blinding to foe yet enhancing his own vision. In this form – ten times his natural strength – he strikes down all in his path friend & foe alike. Those who know him realize this danger - & avoid it.

Skulls

At but 13 he bested Scáthach in a duel, mortally wounding her without intent. Laying on the doorway to the Otherworld she smiled stroking his face & gave him name & meaning then leaving an Ancient manuscript in his hands. As An Tiarna drifted the universe a fearsome reputation fast grew, not only as a warrior but also intense carnal lust. Both leave an unequaled mark upon the universe. This reputation was heightened by a cultural habit of collecting the heads of distinguished adversaries. He sought no army, nor fleet – best keep fast on steady feet. & so he set about what he did best – intimidate, maim, cripple & kill – & defend the honor of family name.

Levarchan the Prophetess of the Dál gCais & the Future:

Renowned for their telepathic, farsighted & telekinetic powers The Dál gCais were a people of a planet beyond any charted territory. They were a people also famous for their martial skills. Unnaturally agile & swift as the wind they manipulated their innate Force powers to dominate enemies. None among the Dál gCais was more legendary for these skills then Levarchan the Prophetess.

On his many journey through the universe An Tiarna Dubh chanced upon Levarchan one eve. Wholly entranced as Levarchan was equally known for her beauty, he stopped cold a moment laying down his guard. But a night they would spend together yet she left a deep imprint on him both physical & mental. It was her who soft told him: I see your legacy before me… Biaid do lechtán inach dú; Bid scél n-airdairc, a hAn Tiarna Dubh… Atchiu forderg atchiu ruad – Your stone will be everywhere; It will be a famous story An Tiarna Dubh… I see crimson, I see red. *She spoke the last four words hanging her head*

In a physical sense the product of their congress was a baby girl. Both would perish at the hands of Uí Fiachrach, a northern tribe who hated the Dál gCais. By sheer numbers the great Dál gCais save one would be slaughtered in a single night. But Derdriu – daughter to Levarchan & An Tiarna left a girl child unnamed – swept to safety by an unknown couple of Uí Fiachrach sympathetic with the Dál gCais plight.

Living among the murderers of her people she was trained to mask her natural skills. As teachers these Uí Fiachrach taught the unnamed child a wide range of subject matter in secret including the history of her people. Questions were asked by her such as a child may and one fateful day her all things were told. Darkness consumed her young heart & in stealth she cut the throats of her rescuers. Then jumping a cargo ship she slipped away but hours before An Tiarna returned in vengeance & cut down the Uí Fiachrach one and all.

Aboard the ship she fell into her sleeping. There in the curious Otherworldly place of dreams the terrifying Mórrígan – Goddess of War – came to her gentle as a lamb. And The Mórrígan bestowed three gifts upon her. First her name to wear as her own & second the name An Tiarna Dubh. Lastly a Double bladed shaft: a gift sacred mountain ash with an exquisitely designed handle – Celtic weave. The Mórrígan spoke: “The symbol at the end is that of Óglaigh na Iarndóideanna…. Light in hand yet ever so powerful at striking. But in your hands - & your hands only – hence ignited it will enrich your speed, inner sight & speech.” But a dream she sighed as she woke. Looking to her side the immaculate saber lay. She jumped to her feet a clouded path now open & clear. Manaan… Manaan rang in her mind… Óglaigh na Iarndóideanna… An Tiarna Dubh… At that very moment the ship crashed in the Highlands of the planet Togoria.

Three Togorian Warriors were the first to arrive finding it odd that this young girl was the only who survived. They also fast noticed her style of dress and weapons indicated that she was indeed a Gael. They warriors gently brought her to the mighty chieftain Guuurgh, commonly called Cat Mór even among his own. This name was placed on him by his blood brother An Tiarna Dubh. Her muttering this name, Manaan & Óglaigh na Iarndóideanna made any suspicions of the girl’s origin and lineage self-evident. She was tended to with great care and An Tiarna invited to Togoria after his return.

When An Tiarna arrived on Togoria he spoke to Mórrígan in her own language. Then talking with Cat Mór it was decided that she would be raised among the Togorians and trained by them and An Tiarna himself. Togoria became home and she was treated as family by the remarkable feline humanoids. But at long last a sad parting was made as she was brought to the mythical planet set lost yet never before seen known as Manaan. Mórrígan took on regal tasks of the highest order most notably that of laying open declarations of war. She would return frequently to Togoria, both with An Tiarna and on her own….

Arkania, lies, deception, genocide and a hidden truth:

On Arkania he took a wife Rhyiianna, heir apparent to the House of Concordia. Her comeliness was exceptional indeed. But this all so transparent façade of happy domesticity was doomed. Yet something held him there. When a child, Arhiia was born An Tiarna knew her not his own yet due to his own infidelity said nothing. As consequence of spending so much time with the child this knowledge became recessed within his twisted mind hence none would dare challenge Arhiia as his rightful daughter. He placed many an hour teaching her what he felt she might find useful later. As humans the House of Concordia claim to the throne was weak. An Tiarna took the throne without a word of protest but plotting to overthrow the Concordia increased. Only the formidable combination of the mighty Dace Concordia & himself held back a looming civil conflict. With Dace’s sudden disappearance the tension exploded into a massacre.

His wife brutally killed he fled with the child. As fate would have it they too were separated in an encounter with bounty hunters. Searching far & wide the child would not be found. Returning to Arkania he exacted a most grisly punishment on those responsible for the bloodshed. “The Twisted One” the Arkanian people came to call him, a name of folklore still remembered to this day. But also An Tiarna’s political savvy would reveal itself here. Knowing well that the House of Émigré, vowed allies of the Concordia had masterminded the Extermination he met with them & laid the head of their second in line on the table. As his giant hand sat on the head fingers tapping on the forehead he vowed that the first daughter’s head would join the other if Arhiia lived and did not assume the throne. The Arkanian nobility agreed and what’s more laid a mass of currency at his feet. As faction fighting eroded the universe into a feuding pack of wild animals he continued to accumulate wealth by means of fear and wit & steadily amass troops & stockpile military hardware. He entered the Xendor Alliance effortlessly climbing the ranks. Alas it too slipped into pointless infighting. Springing from the pack he was instrumental to the formation of the CDDC. To defend this fledgling group An Tiarna founded Óglaigh na Iarndóideanna – Warriors of the Iron Fists. Soon but four words sent the bold on heel: “The IF is coming….” Many a battle, high among these was the destruction of half of the landscape of Tynna. But nothing matched the annihilation of the Vong over Taris.

Xendor & the CDDC:

Great differences of opinion separated Tanith and himself An Tiarna though. His demand that Lord Mortus’ choice to stand neutral on Manaan was among such differences. Another was his flat refusal to attack the DJO on Yag’Dhul and ordering the IF to stand down as Tanith chased Seraph relentlessly across the universe marked another. Begged by his friend Seraph on a secure comm. link “not you a chara…” he could not bring himself to betray this trust. The tension between Tanith and himself grew so strong it erupted in his denying the CDDC and An Tiarna again walked away – slowly.

The Wild Three & beyond:

But two members of his IF, who Tanith called “Dead… a mistake of the past” walked with him. These two, Gaiscioch Dearg, Vereor and himself painted a path of chaos and destruction across the universe. Yet then they fell silent staying quietly on Korriban for a time.

As the IF reemerged it gained momentum with speed and a short union with the DJO evolved. The parting was not easy yet necessary. One man of great skill and honor, Pyros choose to leave with them. A man of ideology he greatly impressed An Tiarna. Then surprisingly An Tiarna decided on a reunification with the CDDC. In a bizarre chain of events Pyros and An Tiarna solidified their brotherhood. This began with the reappearance of the former leader of the Xendor Alliance who presented a threat to Tanith.

Without asking An Tiarna she ordered Pyros to kill the man, a dangerous move politically. An Tiarna learning of this refused to allow Pyros to do the grim task alone. They tracked down and in a ritualistically severed the man's head. Then they returned to Tanith, and as Pyros tossed the head on her lap as An Tiarna declared a breaking of the short reunion of the IF with the CDDC.

The IF soon found themselves on Manaan, where Mortus welcomed them with open arms. Here a seemingly simple barstool by the name Aria at the time would be revealed as the daughter of An Tiarna. She fast proved her worth and was instrumental in the success of the IF. Still a person of her own mind, thus great struggle between them eventually led to her moving out on her own. Still with all wrong and right weighed it cannot be denied that she was a central figure in the long history of the IF.

Another man who stood out among many was the giant Iniquitous. The man was new to the IF yet seemed eerily familiar. He rode up the ranks at lightning speed and was soon the Right hand of An Tiarna. It seemed as if he had been always present watching the back of An Tiarna… and indeed he had. For long before it came to the light of day Iniquitous proved to be Mallaitheoir, the brother who kept silent vigil over An Tiarna.

Drawing only members of devote loyalty the Iron Fists became family. With Iniquitous as his Right hand & Pyros the Sinister a formidable triumvirate formed. Finding neither the ideology of Sith nor Jedi fitting, they defined themselves simply as Óglaigh na Iarndóideanna. The IF reasserted itself as the most feared faction in the universe.

Soon a standoff arose with the TSE. The military buildup & war of words made a conflict inevitable. Here the IF would demonstrate their power. In one stroke the mighty Kashyyk Academy was demolished in a lightning attack. Quite predictably the already fragmented TSE fell apart.

The history of IF took a dramatic turn shortly after their thundering triumph at the Kashyyk Academy. The IF sat on the cusp of greatness. No longer would they be the band of infamous warriors so feared universe wide but indeed an empire. The IF continued on taking empires down one by one. Old friendships with the VSE and others were of enormous aid and Comhcheangail na Dhorcha ~ The Dark Confederacy was created. Here a terrible error in judgment was made, not uncommon among successful renegade groups; after defeating great empires they fall effortlessly into that role themselves. Mistakes were made and the Dark Confederacy slowly fell apart.

Indeed as their power grew a most extraordinary coalition, including many an old brother in arms, the likes of which the universe has never seen forced the IF to the brink of destruction. Many, be it from misjudgment or legitimate reason harbored grudges against An Tiarna. The IF had become the symbol of a tyrannical empire. Many an old friend stood behind An Tiarna in this war, including of course Iniquitous, Lord Raven and the NOE.

An assault on Manaan quickly turned into a quagmire; landing on Manaan would be most difficult indeed and this made the attacking parties understandably reluctant. But it was here An Tiarna showed his will of steel, blowing all evidence of the IF on Manaan to pieces, leaving the attackers nothing to attack. They had failed simply because his reaction to anything was unpredictable.

After the shocking exhibition of will power by raising the IF establishment on Manaan to rubble, they relocated

briefly to Bassadro, given to them by a dear friend Lord Cygnus. Then in a flash An Tiarna had all IF accounts stripped of currency from their immense resources and the faction disappeared.

Duty to race had brought the An Tiarna back to the uncharted system deep in the Unknown Regions from which he originated. Here his people were locked in what they called An Cogadh Mór – The Great War. Legion of foreigners invaded and they defended. The Gaels fought in the baffling manner that made the IF so successful. Scorching anything of value that they could not carry, retreating into hiding and chiseling away at the foreigners with lightning raids in a war of attrition. And when they rose up in pitched battle the Gaels ripped through enemies with ferocity unrivaled.

Many a great tale was born of this war & many a great warrior fell in battle. At Cath Tánaiste Dún na nGall ~ Second Battle of Dún na nGall yet another legend was born. At the brink of defeat An Tiarna became consumed with rage and fell into the Warp Spasm. Suddenly the tide of the battle turned in favor of the Gaels. Hundreds of foe fell to his blade on that day. This would prove to be the decisive victory in An Cogadh Mór…. Yet the sorrowful events following the triumph struck An Tiarna deeply and altered the course of IF history. Almost immediately after the wave of invaders was defeated strife arose between the rival regional dynasties. This tension escalated until a state of cogadh cathartha – civil war broke out among them. And as the great philosopher stated: “there is no civility in civil war”. Great internal dissension among the great families arose too as parties struggled for power. Such was the way of the Gaels. In the midst of this turmoil none would touch An Tiarna. Many plotted and schemed his demise but only once was an attempt made and this was indeed limp and ultimately a abject failure. An Tiarna watched in disgust as again friend betrayed friend and brother turned on brother. Here An Tiarna stepped up as leader of mag Carrthaigh Móir, descendante of Eoghan Mór son of Oilill Ólom of ye Scept of Eibhear and declared the Eoghanacht outside this pointless infighting. With the freedom of his people solemnly agreed upon by the other dynasties he left vowing a return if this accord was breeched. After An Cogadh Mór – The Great War An Tiarna returned to rebuild the IF. A fatal move by those in the IF War, as it was simply called, was revealing themselves.

He waited… & plotted. The harsh legacy foretold to him by the Dál gCais Prophetess Levarchan echoed once more in his head: “Biaid do lechtán inach dú; Bid scél n-airdairc, a hAn Tiarna Dubh… Atchiu forderg atchiu ruad – Your stone will be everywhere; It will be a famous story An Tiarna Dubh… I see crimson, I see red….” All that touched him would meet an end with a crimson blood red but he would stand.

Left forearm: A knight in complete armor, resting the sinister hand on a hip and holding in the dexter a tilted spear, thereon a forked pennon argent. Mag Carrthaigh Mór abú is etched above. An exquisite work of art born of human hands guided by Forces Divine bearing a seemingly random collection of images from the past we gain a window into the future. The keen eye will notice the mighty Eoghan Mór standing in the heart of the background. The Dál gCais Prophetess Levarchan is present too, distant yet still distinct. The center stands out, larger and more vivid. The ever-present Sean Coimeádaí Randall Flagg at Dexter, Iniquitous to the Sinister, swords crossed with the face of An Tiarna Dubh erased of the field above blood dripping on the blades. The heart of this glimpse into the world to come etched out in ink changes in cycles, from the ghastly image of The Mórrígan to the one of flesh and blood bearing the same name, then that to that of Kegan Shadowfire. These two are the true successors to mag Carrthaigh Móir. Below the words Dílis go Bás – Faithful to Death sit. Not gone but less prominent now are the images of places, the true heart of the saga that stands out now being faces. Indeed places can be replaces where a human being cannot. Many a friend and enemy too are recognizable. This mass of faces and events that have made the bloody history of the Óglaigh na Iarndóideanna – Warriors of the Iron Fists spreads out downward from this phrase.

You better not shout you better not cry. You better not scream or the hostages die. An Tiarna is bombing your town. He lurks where you're sleeping; he stalks when you're awake. The Comm. is bugged, the walls have ears so run for your own sake..... An Tiarna is bombing your town. Ahhh..... Saturation bombing.....

The Outlaw Tech Crew (non Force sensitive) An Tiarna Dubh:

From hideous face to the tale of the tape: There is an aura of an ancient darkness about him, one who has seen many deaths, many battles, & many wars. Save the four thin braids cascading down just in front of his ear an eagle feather at the end of each, his curly hair is cropped down to two inches and lime spiked. Broad forehead & brutal glare for any who wish to oppose him.His tolerance and patience for weakness and cowardice is shallow. He is a General, a Warrior, a man whose sense of honor knows no bounds, one who would live & die by the insignia tattooed on his skin. From head to foot he presents a body designed to fight. At 6’1” and 225lbs (aprox. 1.83m & 102kg) he has a firm center of gravity and is exceptionally fast. Quite to the opposite of what would be expected from his rough speech and explosive temper, he is a patient fighter. His physical appearance is disproportionate to an extreme. Thin rippled legs run into powerful back & exceptionally broad shoulders. Chest well defined – washboard stomach. Arms & hands are perhaps most striking; arms hang just past the knee – an incredible 86" reach. Closed fist an immense 14 ½”. The latter are physical attributes that count greatly in fights; men more than a head above him in height rarely possess such reach or size of fist. And contrary to popular belief a fist of such size offers no disadvantage in terms of speed or making a punch easier to observe. The aforementioned reveal an individual with at best a remedial knowledge of pugilism. Force Powers:

Far Sight: A unique inherent ability that makes lying to him face to face exceptionally difficult if not impossible. His Far Sight is born of Other Worldly powers and comes via rapid flash images of faces and events primarily from the past and a scarce few of the future. Observed singularly these are meaningless but in their totality they offer a window into the future. The basic principle of this ability is that there is no present or future but only the past repeating itself over and over again. This power allows An Tiarna to take fleeting memories that pass by all individuals subconscious quite unnoticed and formulate considerably accurate predictions of events yet to unfold. This skill is restricted as it is invoked not at will but by elements of the supernatural.

Telepathy: Unique ability that makes contact silent dialogue with those close to him effortless. This skill too is an inherent ability. A solid all round knowledge of Universal Force Powers. An Tiarna possesses a bizarre, unexplainable attribute of a most terrifying nature: the “Warp-spasm”. When enraged his body alters into a monstrous thing, hideous & shapeless, unheard of. Force sensitive officers are discernable due to the signature they leave

Togorian officers are not Force sensitive and their position reflects superior commando training (ARC)

    • Officers listed below the rank of Major General are included in the number of troops that they command.

Troop standards: The Togorian Fiannóglach is highly proficient at surface (land & water), aerial combat & quite capable of assuming naval duty (space) The Togorian Marine is equipped to handle all forms of combat evenly The Regular is an excellent foot soldier but limited to action on the ground & water

  • NOTE: No officer of the IF Armed Forces outrank an IF member. The exceptions to this rule are: a) if they are working under the orders of a higher ranking OR b) a higher ranking member overrides an order.

Profiles, weapons armor & gear:

Scáileanna na Iarndóideanna ~ Shadows of the Iron Fists (SI): The SI is the secret service wing of the IF. Four figures form the heart of the SI. In appearance they clash to an extreme but with all physical and mental differences aside these men are creatures of the same species. They are ruthless, calculated, cold-blooded murderers one and all.

Profiles of SI Leaders: The Big Four

Field Marshall Michael Collins: (Scáil an Bháis ~ Shadow of Death) At 6’4” and 240lbs of pounds of solid flesh, Collins presents an imposing figure. Yet he is handsome and charming. All this added to his explosive temper gives off the false impression of a brute having little more than an average intelligence. Collins is meticulous and highly proficient in his duty. He is a natural leader and inspires great loyalty. Collins history is a winding road start to present. Although born into a titled family among the “bog-siders”, a people who farmed the peat heavy bayou in the home system of the Gaels, Collins as all worked hard hours from an early age. His great inherent strength developed further in this condition. The observation of Collins Force sensitivity inspired an Elder to teach him from a young age. As he reached the place of Lord his teacher was killed in an invasion trend by outsiders. Here Collins made a shocking move, joining the invaders and receiving special-forces training he was placed in an administrative position. He remained, quietly collecting information and transferring it to An Tiarna. An Tiarna titled Collins Scáil an Bháis ~ Shadow of Death. None knew who the man was but the title became legendary. Collins took on the role of assassin of high level enemy figures and covert operators. Hence began Scáileanna na Iarndóideanna ~ Shadows of the Iron Fists. As the invaders were at last beaten back and the infighting began Collins swore absolute devotion to An Tiarna after his blasting denunciation of the internal strife.

General Harry Boland: 5’11” with a wiry 185lbs frame is neither as dashing as Collins nor crude as Breen but rides that space so forgetful half way between. And this demeanor is much to his favor as he is rarely remembered. His execution of assignments is brutal, swift and professional. Boland’s habit of shifting wide eyes gives off the impression of fear and worry. In reality Boland is only highly self-conscious in the false message this conveys. Hence those who bring this tendency into the open rarely live very long. Trained side by side with Collins an unbreakable bond between them grew. When Collins took to working as an agent inside enemy forces Boland was one of but a scarce number in the know. He in fact was the receiver of information stolen by Collins. When the call came from An Tiarna for Collins to begin terminating enemies from the inside Boland played a key role. Enter Boland into Scáileanna na Iarndóideanna ~ Shadows of the Iron Fists.

General Joe Cahill: Cahill at but 5’8” and 165lbs is neither bulky nor thin. He speaks bluntly yet in a quiet tone slowly thinking before responding. He is exceptionally broad across the shoulders, with strikingly long arms and a strong hand. None who met eye to eye with Cahill ever forget. Few recall anything about him save the chance glance at the brutal glare riding down his broad nose, shadowed beneath his cap… when he sets the hat down none live to tell the tale. Cahill presents an extraordinary character. The Cahill being a family with deep relations to the Ó Dubhín he was trained from an early age in the art of killing, including an extensive understanding of the methods of dispatching an enemy effortlessly. Being Force sensitive an Elder was sought out and Cahill trained. He was a fine student and benefited greatly. Then inspired by an abrupt surge of invasion and occupation prior to An Cogadh Mór he joined a group of Fiannóglach, training and fighting among them. A strong reputation grew as a tactician and warrior. The tales told of his exploits are now kept in the annals. During the early days of An Cogadh Mór he fought once again. Always humble if confident Cahill was honored to be approached by An Tiarna Dubh, leader of the much heard of Óglaigh na Iarndóideanna – Warriors of the Iron Fists. By tradition Cahill was obligated to follow An Tiarna as High-King of mag Carrthaigh Móir. Yet Cahill’s ultimate motivation was born of respect. He was shocked when told of the true identity of the much spoken of Scáil an Bháis ~ Shadow of Death. Indeed Cahill was at that moment involved in a plot to kill Collins as traitor. Cahill was far too wise to simply inform the group; subtly redirecting their target would be far more effective. But here Cahill also showed great wisdom, doing an extensive background check of the figures involved. Upon discovering that four were in fact traitors suspicious of Collins as Scáil an Bháis and the remaining seven willing pawns he spoke to a man: Big Dan Breen. Together they trapped and killed the lot then presented the heads to An Tiarna. There Cahill became part of Scáileanna na Iarndóideanna ~ Shadows of the Iron Fists.

General Danny Breen: Breen has at least two inches and twenty pounds on Collins but a face only a mother could love and not a drop of eloquence in his speech. He excels at his work inspiring fear in individuals and indeed his actions prove this apprehension as justified. Breen truly enjoys his work and goes about it with great enthusiasm. Perhaps the greatest advantage Breen possesses is that his appearance gives off the impression of a slow, clumsy individual; quite to the opposite he is remarkably agile and fast for a man his size. 6’6” and 260 lbs of hardened flesh is concealed beneath a standard SI uniform, with the addition of his trademark machete, Breen is awe inspiring in his white shirt and tie and a black three piece suit. Breen is one the personal enforcers of An Tiarna Dubh. Although Breen appears slow-witted and brutish, his ruthlessness, street smarts and his unwavering loyalty to An Tiarna and indeed the Dynasty as a whole makes for a most dangerous combination. His very real terrifying life history is the thing of legends. Although Breen needs to follow no man he defends the IF with heart, body and soul. Although from a family of well know devotion to the Dubh line the origin of this a Dark figure is obscure. No records of him from birth to death are to be found. All that exist are the horrifying stories of his life. Word tells that he had impregnated a young Twi’lek prostitute. Upon being informed of this Breen found her while giving birth and promptly murdered her. Breen did not stop there; he forced the midwife to hurl the child into a furnace. The nickname “The Unholy Demon” arose from this incident. Another early incident involved the killing of two henchmen hired to kill Breen. By wit he lured both out and subdued them and tied and gagged them with towels stuffed in their mouths. He then hacked one of them to pieces with a machete. When he went to finish off the other one, he found that the man had gone through a shock convulsion and choked to death on the towel. His actions with Joe Cahill too would go down as legendary but they were never identified. His unwavering loyalty to An Tiarna and the IF is also legendary. A Lord, Breen is an anomaly. He cannot be affected by Mind Trick and has an unexplainable ability to absorb attacks against him using the Force. The way he seems to evade death in the most bizarre way adds to the mystery that is Breen, a terror indeed. He became the Strong Arm of Scáileanna na Iarndóideanna ~ Shadows of the Iron Fists.

The remaining leaders SI are all well suited to the post.

As a rule Force skills used among the Gaels lean towards defensive powers, such as speed and shielding. Likewise concentration on reaching the ultimate standard in a small number of skills tends to outweigh a broad moderate knowledge.

Scáil na hOíche – The Shadows of Night (Ó Dubhín) Where humans troops are by far more effective than the Togorian is at covert operations. Still they are readily distinguishable due to the IF trademark appearance making them easily identifiable. Here the unique Ó Dubhín become crucial as experts at offensive operations behind enemy lines executing vital objectives such as long range patrolling, raids, ambushes sabotage and diversionary operation. From a family with a tradition in the art of subtle killing are among these the Ó Dubhín stand unique. Known as Scáil an Bháis ~ The Shadow of Death, they excel at capture of key personnel and assassination. Plainly as humans they are far more likely of drawing attention than the massive Togorians. Those from the Ó Dubhín line are also a fine addition to defensive operations, e.g. VIP protection, counter-insurgency, anti-terrorist tasks, etc.

All Ó Duibín possess a comprehensive knowledge of the body. Not only is unnecessary use of power disfavored among them but also great steps are taken to avoid such. The precision required to dispatch a target in a swift, quiet manner is essential. Hence, the classic kill zones about the body and indeed the best methods to strike these areas are studied intensely. The very soul of this dynasty is found in the sacred science of killing. But to accept payment to kill would be a disgrace upon the individual and as consequence the family entire. To betray the mag Carrthaigh Móir, descendante of Eoghan Mór son of Oilill Ólom of the Scept of Eibhear was simply beyond inconceivable. Ó Duibín placed only one thing higher than killing – honor.

Their hair is a deep shade of grey that melds in with mountain ranges. Another unique characteristic, common among mountain dwelling humanoids is a higher blood volume, (approximately 1/3). This allows for a considerably higher tolerance of air with reduced levels of oxygen. In training they must show the capacity to handle all ranges on combat, close protection & covert operations setting them further apart from any other Togorian.

Two Companies of Fiannóglach – Ranger are humans of Gael stock. They are devoutly loyal and exceptional warriors. Of the Eoghanacht they know of but one High King, one Old Keeper, one High Druid. Mairnéalach Togorian ~ Togorian Marine: These are the elite IF troops. They are exceptionally adaptable & capable of all forms of combat: land, sea or space. All excel at hand to hand combat. They are also naturally excellent snipers & in training they must acquire an extensive understanding of heavy hardware. They wear a dull green standard Togorian breastplate armor plus a military belt & harness with shoulder holster.

  • Training can be modified to concentrate on specific tasks such as Reconnaissance, Sniper, Demolition or Heavy Weapons Specialist.

Standard Trooper:

Togorian Regular: These are standard troopers. Of course they are equipped with the natural abilities of all Togorians. Also to accommodate the environment of Manaan naval training is included to handle sea combat. However, they lack the extensive training of the elite Marines & commando Highlander. They wear a pale burgundy standard Togorian breastplate armor plus a military belt & harness with shoulder holster.

Equipped with: - An Iarndóideanna .303; The Iron Fists .303 (IF .303) Rifle - 10 clips: 3 on the front right hip; 3 on the front left hip; 2 on the back right; 2 on the back left + 1 in the rifle - IF Pistol - 4x Thermal Detonators - 4x EMP Grenades - Cortosis Alloy Sc’rath Standard IF Field Kit:

  • All IF Troopers are geared light but efficiently. They wear a military belt & harness with shoulder holster. The standard field gear, not including weapons consist of three weeks rations, 50 IF Battle Energizer (IFBE), 3 IF Death Pills (IFDP), a comlink, cartridge belt, canteen cover, mess kit & entrenching tools plus other tools including a manual lock pick gun & grappling hook. All Troopers are equipped with gas masks. Specific tools to match the intended objective are added as necessary.
  • Togorian troops are distinguished by breastplate color & equipment. Gael troops tend to not use armor and appear much as An Tiarna Dubh in battle gear. All unless stated otherwise carry the standard field kit (rations, etc.)
  • IF Battle Energizer (IFBE): The capsule is distributed in 50 unit containers. These are metal with a screw on cap and squeeze release button that dispenses a single capsule.

Anti detection package (ATP): anti-visual detection devices (AVDD), 4 anti-audio detection devices (AADD) and 12 ammonia tablets.

Small Weapons: The IF employs a composite bow, (i.e. made from disparate materials laminated together, applied under tension. Different materials are used in order to take advantage of the properties of each material). The traditional composite bow introduced by An Tiarna, uses horn on the belly and sinew on the back of a wooden core. Sinew and horn will store more energy than wood for the same length of bow. The main advantage of the composite bow is their combination of smaller size with high power. They are therefore much more suitable for use from horseback. The recurve bow style design where the shape curves away from the archer gives higher draw-weight in the early stages of the archer's draw, storing somewhat more total energy for a given final draw-weight. The composite bow used by a human is able to produce a draw weight of 160 lb (72.5 kg). The draw weight of those employed by Togorian Calvary is Draw weight of 320 lb (145 kg). Use of a string-bridge enhances the bows stability and trajectory.

Carbon Arrows are the IF standard as a durable, most precise and light arrow with interchangeable arrowheads. The arrow shafts are cross wrapped, less than 5/16ths of an inch in diameter. The arrowheads differ according to need but in general a four bladed broadhead is used. The inserts/outserts where the arrowhead is fastened allows for great variation. The fletching are generally natural the feathers which keep the arrow stable in the air. The nock is carefully crafted for a smooth yet highly accurate hold to the bowstring.

An Iarndóideanna .303; The Iron Fists .303 (IF .303) Rifle: The IF frequently employs a unique archaic 7.7mmx56R, or .311 inch rifle. The rifle is cheap, in terms of production and ammunition, yet a highly effective weapon that surpasses the rate of fire, piercing ability and range of most extant blaster technology.

Rifle: Weight: 4.4 kg (9.7 lbs) 5.54 kg (12.2 lb) with optic Length: 1,025 mm (40.4 in) stock extended / 840 mm (33.1 in) stock collapsed Barrel Length: 450 mm (17.7 in) Cartridge: 7.7mmx56R, or .311 inch Action: Roller Delayed Blowback Rate of Fire: 400 rounds/min Muzzle Velocity: 800 m/s (2,625 ft/s) Effective Range: 100–400 m sight adjustments Feed System: 50 round detachable box magazine (steel 260 g, double-stacked straight) Sights: Rear: rotary diopter; Front: hooded post Trigger mechanism: (0 – weapon is safe, trigger disabled mechanically) 3-position fire selector switch 1 position – single fire mode 2 position – automatic fire An additional, fourth selector setting enables a 3-round burst mode of fire Selector lever ambidextrous

The firearm is equipped with iron sights that consist of a rotary rear drum and hooded front post. The rear sight, mechanically adjustable for both windage and elevation, has an open notch used to fire up to 100 m and three apertures used for: 200, 300 and 400 m. The receiver housing has recesses that work with HK clamp adapters used to mount day or night optics.

The rifled barrel (contains 4 right-hand grooves with a 305 mm twist rate) is ended with a slotted flash/sound suppressor which can also be used as an adapter for launching rifle grenades. The barrel chamber is fluted, which assists in the initial extraction of a spent cartridge casing (since the breech is opened under very high barrel pressure).

Standard accessories supplied with the rifle include: a perforated plastic handguard, sling, cleaning kit and a speed-loading device. A 6 3/4 inch spear-point blade bayonet is mounted below the barrel. The weapon can also mount a 40 mm HK79 under-barrel grenade launcher.

The IF .303 Cartridge Specs:

0.311 in (7.9 mm) in diameter Ballistic performance: 180 gr and Smokeless powder (Velocity of 783 m/s (2570 ft/s ///Energy of 3,574 J/2,636 ft.lbf) Range: 1000 Yards Max.

  • A modified shorter version of the bullet is produced for the IF Pistol: with a .4 inch (19mm) shell casing.

The standard IF .303 cartridges is high explosive/armor piercing ammunition intended to penetrate hardened armored targets such as ballistic vests, body vehicle armor, concrete and other defenses. The slug combines a tungsten carbide penetrator with an incendiary and explosive soft tip enclosed in a jacket of copper. The penetrator is a pointed mass of high-density material that is designed to retain its shape and carry the maximum possible amount of energy as deeply as possible into the target. Though designed to pierce armor it is equally useful for sniper fire and acts as exceptional regular ammunition.

  • The use of smokeless powder greatly reduces detection.
    • Match-grade cartridges are supplied to snipers as they heighten accuracy and range. Explosive ammunition is not used as a rule by snipers but is available.

The IF bolt action .303 Rifle: The IF bolt action .303 is a modification of the standard rifle intended for use by snipers. Although the rate of fire greatly reduced this gun is far better in terms of accuracy. The rear-locking bolt system make the initial opening much faster and easier compared to the "cock on opening" designs. Rear-mounted lugs place the operating handle much closer to the operator, over the trigger, making it quicker to operate than traditional designs. The rifle is also equipped with a detachable sheet-steel, 50-round, double-column magazine. A trained rifleman can fire 20 to 30 aimed rounds a minute. Adversaries have reported that they had encountered fully automatic guns, when in fact it was simply a group of trained riflemen armed with the bolt action .303.

Rifle Specs: Weight: 4.4 kg (9.7 lbs) 5.54 kg (12.2 lb) with optic Length: 1,025 mm (40.4 in) stock extended / 840 mm (33.1 in) stock collapsed Barrel Length: 450 mm (17.7 in) Cartridge: 7.7mmx56R, or .311 inch (Standard IF .303 Cartridge) Action: rear-locking bolt system Rate of Fire: 30 rounds/min Muzzle Velocity: 800 m/s (2,625 ft/s) Effective Range: 550 m sight adjustments Maximum Range 2000 m Feed System: 50 round detachable box magazine (steel 260 g, double-stacked straight) Sights: Sliding ramp rear sights, Fixed-post front sights, "Dial" long-range volley sights; Telescopic sights Trigger mechanism: Single shot bolt action with safety mode. *Selector lever ambidextrous The firearm is equipped with iron sights that consist of a rotary rear drum and hooded front post. The rear sight is mechanically adjustable for both windage and elevation. The receiver housing has recesses that work with HK clamp adapters used to mount day or night optics.

The Iron Fists Pistol: The Iron Fists Pistol is a semi-automatic weapon that uses toggle-lock action. After a round is fired, the barrel and toggle assembly (both locked together at this point) travel rearward due to recoil. After moving roughly one-half inch (13 mm) rearward, the toggle strikes a cam built into the frame, causing the knee joint to hinge and the toggle and breech assembly to unlock. At this point the barrel stops its rearward movement (it impacts the frame), but the toggle and breech assembly continue moving (bending the knee joint) due to momentum, extracting the spent casing from the chamber and ejecting it. The toggle and breech assembly subsequently travel forward (under spring tension) and the next round from the magazine is loaded into the chamber. The entire sequence occurs in a fraction of a second. Thus this mechanism works well for higher pressure cartridges.

These sixteen Togorian Highlanders of a most extraordinary nature are An Tiarna’s personal guard. An Tiarna’s time in Togoria led to many a friendship. One of these remarkable people supplied the genetic sample that is the foundation of the Togorians Highland Commando troops of the IF. This man, who An Tiarna called “Cat Mhór~Big Cat” became blood-brother to An Tiarna. They met during the time he frequented Togoria. They hunted and fought side by side. Indeed this was the one who would find Mórrígan Dubh in a crash and play a large role in raising her on Togoria. This unbreakable bond compelled Cat Mhór to choose four sons and a daughter and train them as Árd-Fiannóglach Togorian ~ Togorian ~ Togorian Advanced Ranger, an Advanced Recon Commando (ARC) to act as a personal guard for An Tiarna. An Tiarna informed his Togorian friend of a vision he had. These five would become the head of his Fear Faire Dubh – Black Watchmen. This further reinforced Cat Mhór’s conviction that his initial decision was right indeed preordained. He carefully selected eleven other young members from his Clan of exceptional ability and also trained them on the ARC program. They view An Tiarna as family and Mórrígan as sister.

They are impressive specimen indeed with a superior intellectual capacity. When added with their inherent physical condition they present an imposing guard. As all Togorians Highlanders, they are slightly shorter & stockier than the average Togorian. (They stand 2.0 – 2.5 meters as opposed to the average 2.5 – 3 meters in height but weigh relatively the same.) Likewise they are also stronger, faster more agile & have keener senses. They also possess the distinctive characteristic, common among mountain dwelling humanoids of a higher blood volume, (approximately 1/3). This allowed for a considerably higher tolerance of air with reduced levels of oxygen. Of note, unlike the characteristic deep grey common to Togorian Highlanders many of these individuals have unique hair color. At present 5 hold the rank of general, with the rest Colonel, on the fast track to promotion.

Individual Profiles: General Cat Dubh: 2.5m (8’2”approx) Black and exceptionally powerful. General Cat Crainn: 2m (6’6”approx) short for a male but extraordinarily fast and agile. LieutenantGeneral Cat Dearg: 2.5m (8’2”approx) Red fur and very strong. LieutenantGeneral Cat Bán: 2m (6’6”approx) tall for a female, white with an eerie quite about her. LieutenantGeneral Cat Fiáin: 2.25m (7’4” approx) Golden-brown and tall with an explosive personality. ColonelCatzeye: 2m (6’6”approx) A short grey classic tabby male with above normal vision.

ColonelNyghtvision: 2.25m (7’4” approx) Tall and slim female tortoiseshell possessing great vision.

ColonelBaddcat 2.25m (7’4” approx) Black with distinct white streaks he is a foul tempered individual with great martial skill.
